In heaven
70s,70s and more 70s across the board, this Gucci collection was complete heaven to me I LOVED it. It gave me completely Bianca Jagger meets Bowie. Riccardo Tisci managed to take the height of Studio 54 and mix it with a modern edge to appeal to the masses. The 70s were probably my favourite fashion era ever because the were so androgynous and so much more ‘forward thinking’. You can see this androgynous 70s fashion now everywhere and that’s part of what I love about the never-ending circle of style. It all eventually comes back, 70s are having/had a moment and then we’ll all move on to the next trend and fad, but what’s special about that is there is obviously then more change and freedom. More of a chance to show off your inner Grace Jones and Jerry Hall, it’s like an Ouroboros; Yes that maybe an ancient symbol of a serpent eating it’s own, but when they do eat there own the serpent forms a perfect circle, like the never-ending cycle of fashion. I also made a Studio 54/Bohemian playlist inspired by the 70s I’ll link it below.
